Welcome to the Bailey Family photo album. Come take a journey with us as we travel through the years. Put yourself in each picture, and imagine the joys we experience as we share the Lord with people who are receiving their first true witness of the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Relax and enjoy the trip!
Our ministry started in 1976, when I received Christ as my personal Savior. My wife Valerie grew up on the mission field in the jungles of Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Mexico. My first trip, however, to a foreign country for the Lord, was to the Guatemalan jungles in 1978, and later to Belize, and even later, on up into Mexico. Unfortunately we had no camera, in the early days of ministry, with which to capture our many experiences.
We will start our journey in Carmelitas, Mexico in 1982.

Our first trip into CarmelitasHere we are at the last gas station before we enter the jungle ( Who knows what octane this gas is?) This is where our journey begins.

The Road to CarmelitasThe rains have come. Bridges must be built. This is one bridge we will not burn. |

The Carmelitas ValleyThe road was long and muddy but we finally arrive. This is a beautiful jungle paradise, but when the rains come and the mud grows deep, one wonders, "Am I truly in the Will of God?" That question is answered when you meet the people, and share in their joy as they receive Christ as their Lord and Savior.

| Val sets up her jungle home. Not much to organize, but Val makes us feel at home. The four of us (Val, Joshua, Christa and me) fit snug in our camper, but we are inside and the mosquitoes are out. | ![]() |
